DuPage County Animal Control - Freedom of Information Act Disclosure
DuPage County Animal Care and Control (DCACC) provides information and services to facilitate the human animal bond. In doing so, DCACC strives to protect the citizens of DuPage County from rabies by specifying such preventative and control measures as may be necessary. DCACC protects animals from improper use, abuse, neglect, inhumane treatment and health hazards, particularly rabies. When necessary, DCACC provides security to residents from annoyance, intimidation, and injury from dogs and other animals kept by humans. It encourages responsible pet ownership and provides the assessment for penalties and enforcement when county ordinances (regarding animals and their owners) are violated.
