Responsibilities

The Regional Planning Commission is responsible for advising and guiding a plan of development and improvement for DuPage County. The Commission acts as a fact-finding body, and makes investigations and gathers statistics that will aid in constructing a development plan for DuPage County. The principal purpose of the Commission is to prepare, maintain, and continually update a Comprehensive Land Use Plan for DuPage County, which includes all land area within the County.

Qualifications

All applicants must be residents of DuPage County. Municipal official appointees must be recommended by the DuPage Mayor’s and Manager’s Conference.

11 board members, 3 of whom are County Board members, 3 of whom are municipal officials, and 5 of whom are public citizens
