Responsibilities

The Wheaton Mosquito Abatement District has the power to take all necessary or proper steps for the extermination of mosquitoes, flies, and other insects within the district. It abates stagnant pools of water and other breeding grounds for mosquitoes and other insects, and builds and maintains levees and channels for the continued eradication of mosquito breeding grounds. The Board governs the affairs and business of the district. The District contracts with Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management to provide mosquito abatement services.  View map of the district
