The information below on recycling & green events is provided as a service to the residents of DuPage County. Inclusion is not intended as an endorsement of any of company or event, nor has the County purposely excluded any additional events. The events listed below are open to the public(unless otherwise indicated). No hazardous waste, fluorescent bulbs, paint, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, or air conditioners will be accepted at any events.

Electronics may be taken to the locations listed on the electronics recycling section of our website.

September Events

September 24, 2016 - Village of Bensenville Shred Event - 717 E. Jefferson, Bensenville from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Up to 5 boxes/bags accepted. Open to all DuPage County Residents. 

September 24, 2016 - Hanover Park Recycling Extravaganza - 1975 W Lake St., Hanover Park - 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.. Open to non-residents.

September 24, 2016 - Village of Lombard Recycling Extravaganza - 255 E. Wilson Ave, Lombard from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Lombard residents only. Accepted items

October Events

October 1, 2016 - Winfield Township Recycling Extravaganza & Shred Event - Winfield Township Road District Facility, 30W575 Roosevelt Road, West Chicago from 9 a.m. - noon.  Winfield Township Recycling Flyer - English(1)Winfield Township Recycling Flyer - Spanish(1)

October 4, 2016 - Illinois Composting Policy Forum - DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Rd., Wheaton, 1 p.m. 3 p.m. Click here for agenda.

October 15, 2016 - Glen Ellyn Document Shred Event - Glenwood Municipal lot, Glenwood and Crescent from 9 a.m. - noon.

October 22, 2016 - Nat'l Drug Take Back Day - Various Locations from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

October 29, 2016 - Lisle Document Shred Event-  Commuter parking lot west of Village Hall; 925 Burlington; 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
