The information below on recycling & green events is provided as a service to the residents of DuPage County. Inclusion is not
intended as an endorsement of any of company or event, nor has the County purposely excluded any additional events. The events listed below are open to the public(unless otherwise indicated). No hazardous waste, fluorescent bulbs, paint, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, or air conditioners will be
accepted at any events.
February 25, 2017 - DuPage Area STEM Expo - IIT Rice Campus; 201 E. Loop Rd., Wheaton; 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
An interactive exploration into science, technology, engineering and math. Over 50 displays, presentation, projects to take home and activities for school age children grades K-6.
February 28, 2017 - Green Infrastructure and Grants Symposium; Danada House; 3S501 Naperville Rd., Wheaton; 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Municipalities, park districts, schools and other large landholders are invited to learn more about innovative green infrastructure projects as well as how to fund them! Hosted by DuPage County Stormwater Management and The Conservation Foundation.
March 18, 2017 - Lisle Sustainable Saturday - Benedictine University; 5700 College Rd., Lisle; 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Accepting electronics (see website for fees); document shredding (limit on quantity); ink jet cartridges, scrap metal, eye glasses, household batteries (A, AA, AA, C and D), worn American flags, holiday lights, fluorescent lamps, bicycles, and more.

March 18, 2017 - York Township Document Shredding Event - Township Parking Lot; 1502 S. Meyers Rd.; Lombard; 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Limit 3 banker sized boxes per vehicle. No hard covers, binders, binder clips or books.
April 27, 2017 - GreenTown presented by the Fox Valley Sustainability Network - Two Brothers Roundhouse; 205 N. Broadway, Aurora
GreenTown brings together the public and private sectors to connect the dots and work together to create healthy, sustainable communities across the Midwest.
Holiday Light Recycling
Many municipalities are collecting holiday lights for recycling. Visit the
SCARCE website to see if your community is participating. Holiday lights can also be taken to any of the
DuPage County electronics recycling locations.
