Title: Forensic Clinical Psychologist

Hours: Full-Time: General office hours are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Required to work flexible hours

Salary: $71,821-$119,700 annually, based on qualifications

The responsibilities of this position include:
• Completes forensic psychological evaluations for the criminal and juvenile courts, including with adult defendants, juvenile respondents and  parents;
• Referral issues include fitness to stand trial, sanity, conditional release of insanity acquittees, diagnosis and treatment recommendations, risk of violence, juvenile transfers, competency to waive Miranda rights;
• Consults with Probation Officers, attorneys, agencies and other Court officials.
• The psychologist functions independently, managing psychological test materials, scheduling and maintaining  records
• Administers comprehensive psychological testing on referral from the Court
• Independently provides the Court with written reports and clinical summaries including relevant opinions and recommendations
•  Provides clinical opinion for competency to stand trial, insanity examination, fitness for sentencing, certification for involuntary  psychiatric hospitalization, emotional, cognitive, intellectual functioning
• Provides direct in-court expert testimony as required
• Provides clinical assistance to Probation Officers regarding case management
• Maintains confidential records
• Reviews and approves written documents to be sent to the Court
• Serves as liaison to the Court, court agencies and other Divisions within the Department
• Maintains adequate psychological tests and related materials
• Other duties as required and/or requested            

Requirements for this position include:
• Completion of a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or related field
• Possess or eligible for  Illinois Clinical Psychologist License
• 3 to 5 years forensic experience or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
