DOG WASH N' WALK RAISES MORE THAN $11,000! On Sunday, July 26th more than 500 guests gathered at IIT's Rice Campus in Wheaton for the 2nd Annual Dog Wash n' Walk fundraiser hosted by Friends of DCACC. Volunteers washed more than 200 furry friends throughout the day...more than twice the dogs washed last year. Guests enjoyed visiting with more than 50 vendors, dog obedience demonstrations, agility & flyball demonstrations, Green Valley Dog Driver demonstrations, family portraits, paw painting, paw reading and more! Many thanks to our special guests: the Honorable Mayor Michael J. Gresk of Wheaton and his DCACC adoption alum "Nikko" and Senator Dan Cronin for welcoming our guests and leading our parade. Many thanks to WERV 95.9 The River for making this event possible. Proceeds from this event benefit DCACC's homeless and unwanted pets. Then enjoy a leisurely stroll around the IIT Rice Campus as your visit the pet-related vendors and animal rescue groups along our "Roving Mall" while your pet dries off. Treat you and your best friend to goodies along the way, talk to animal rescue groups dedicated to helping homeless animals and meet some of their wonderful adoption animals waiting for a home. After receiving a bath from a DCACC volunteer, participants will walk their four-legged friends around the IIT Rice Campus and visit with the many vendors and rescue organizations lining the walking path. Whether it's gathering leads, selling products or services, raising funds or introducing your adoptable pets to potential adopters, the Dog Wash n' Walk is a great opportunity to gain added exposure for your business or group. Exhibit spaces are $35 each for businesses and $20 for not-for-profit rescue groups and shelters. Animals are welcome as part of your exhibit. All exhibitor tables will be outdoors and in the open.
