DCACC ADOPTION ALUM "BEAR" IN SEMI-FINALS FOR BISSEL MVP PET PHOTO CONTEST!
Thank you to everyone who took the time out to vote for "Bear".  Thanks to you, he was able to gather enough votes to move on to the semi-finals in April for his chance to compete with only 59 other pets across the country for his chance at $10,000.  Best of all, if he wins, Bear has pledged to donate his winnings to Friends of DCACC in honor of the shelter where his parents found him.  Stay tuned for more information as the semi-finals approach!

NOW AVAILABLE:  VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS FROM PICTURES WITH SANTA CLAWS!   Click  HERE to watch the video.

Enjoy this video created by DCACC volunteer Kerry Furrh featuring highlights from our Pictures With Santa Claws event on December 6th.  We welcomed more than 250 2-legged & 4-legged friends and 100% of the proceeds went to our shelter animals. Many thanks to Kerry for doing such a great job of capturing our merry furry friends visiting with Santa.  Enjoy!  Picture Above:  DCACC Director Kerry Vinkler with Office Cat "Scratch"

Virtual Food Drive
Ongoing
Local Food Pantries
DCACC is helping address the need for pet basics such as pet food, pet treats and toys by holding a virtual food drive.  This food drive is "virtual" because we're asking you to help as you can by bringing pet food, pet treats and toys to your local neighborhood food pantry and helping those in need in your own town.  A sample list of local food pantries accepting pet food donations is available for download  here.  A more detailed list of DuPage County food pantries is available via the  DuPage County HELPER Resource Listing

Please note:  Not all food pantries are large enough to accommodate pet food donations.  Please call ahead to confirm that your food pantry accepts pet food donations and to verify hours of drop-off.
