DuPage County Animal Control - Freedom of Information Act Disclosure

DuPage County Animal Care and Control (DCACC) provides harmonious relationships in the interaction between man and animal. In doing so, they strives to protect the citizens of DuPage County from rabies by specifying such preventative and control measures as may be necessary. They also protect animals from improper use, abuse, neglect, inhumane treatment and health hazards, particularly rabies. When necessary, DCACC provides security to residents from annoyance, intimidation, and injury from dogs and other animals kept by humans. They encourage responsible pet ownership and providing for the assessment for penalties and enforcement when county ordinances (regarding animals and their owners) are violated.
