    About Bob Grogan, C.P.A.

    In November 2008, Bob Grogan was elected as the sixth County Auditor to hold the office since the Office was established in 1932.  Since taking office he has focused on adding transparency to County government.  Within six weeks of taking office he placed the County's checkbook online, making DuPage the first county in the State to do so.

    • Senior Manager, Legacy Professionals LLP (2003-2008)
      • Public accounting firm focusing on audits and tax filings of non-profit corporations, governmental entities and employee benefit plans.
    • Certified Public Accountant (2002)
      • Passed all four sections of CPA exam on first attempt:  FARE- 95, ARE- 93, Audit- 92, Law- 92.

      • Chaired the consolidation committee for merger of six separate 501(c) 3s into a single more efficient organization.  Reorganized and cut expenses by more than 30%.  Oversaw largest United Way in suburban Chicago and created the lowest overhead cost structure.  Awarded United Way of Metropolitan Chicago's first Vision and Leadership Award (2006) for efforts in developing regional organization and creating a new process to allocate funds.
