HOME Advisory Group

The HOME Advisory Group was established in 1992 to advise the County Board on the use of federal funds received by the County from the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) program. HOME funds are for affordable housing production activities.

Funding Process

Activities funded by the HOME program are selected from individual applications that may be submitted by local governments, non-profit groups, or for-profit housing developers or investors. Applications may be submitted twice per year, and generally due in December and July. There is a three-stage process of approval. The first two steps are actions taken by the HOME Advisory Group and include a preliminary set-aside of funds and a conditional commitment of funds. The final step is approval by the County Board of an agreement between the county and the recipient of funds.

HOME Advisory Group Members

The HOME Advisory Group is comprised of all the members of the CDC Executive Committee with additional representatives from the four municipalities that are part of the DuPage HOME Consortium. The HOME Advisory Group meets regularly on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
