Occupational Therapy

The services provided by Occupational Therapy include: teaching activities of daily living skills; developing awareness of limitations; designing, fabricating or selecting splints, artificial devices, or adaptive equipment; administering and interpreting tests for physical and mental abilities; and adapting environments for the handicapped.  A physician's order is required for an Occupational Therapy evaluation.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy and/or physical rehabilitation wellness programs for residents deliver individually designed programs to upgrade physical skills and achieve maximum inidependence.  Programs may include: exercises for muscle re-education; ambulation; hydrotherapy; ultra-sound; paraffin treatment; hydro collator packs treatment; and various other modalities.  A physician's orders are required for a physical therapy and/or physical rehabilitation evaluation.

Speech Language Pathology

Speech pathology provides evaluation and treatment for residents with communication and swallowing disorders.  A physician's order is required for a speech therapy evaluation.
