Division of Transportation

The Division of Transportation is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the County Highway system which serves the over 900,000 residents of DuPage County.

The Division of Transportation maintains approximately 220 miles of arterial highways and 92 miles of multi-purpose trails in DuPage County.

Operations include highway design and construction, road and path reconstruction and maintenance, bridge repair, plan review, traffic signs/signal installation and maintenance, right-of-way maintenance and snow plowing within the Division of Transportation's jurisdictional rights-of-way.

Building Permitting

As of October 1, 2009 all permits submitted will be under the new Building Code amendments and revisions

All general contractors and sub-contractors doing work in unincorporated DuPage County are required to be registered, bonded and insured through the Department of Economic Development and Planning
