Economic Development at the County level is coordinated by the following entities:

Choose DuPage is a groundbreaking concept in economic development for DuPage County.  Never before has one organization solely dedicated itself to advancing DuPage County as a premier business location. 

Choose DuPage's core activities focus on business retention and expansion, business attraction, and supporting local economic development initiatives. 

Staff of Choose DuPage is available to assist you in every facet of your business or career development.  Staff communicates regularly with local economic development professionals including municipal and state economic development directors, utility companies, workforce development professionals, and educational institutions throughout the County.  This coordination ensures that business development resources are readily available.   

For the time being Choose DuPage's activities will be coordinated by the DuPage County Department of Economic Development and Planning.  You can access these resources by using the items on the left navigation bar.

The DuPage County Workforce Development Division (WDD) is located at the workNet DuPage Career Center of DuPage County. In public partnership with other federal, state, and local employment and training organizations, the WDD works cooperatively to provide essential workforce development services in DuPage County. WorkNet DuPage Career Center allows employers and job seekers to access a broad array of employment, training, education, and related services with one telephone call or visit. The WDD is funded by the Workforce Investment Act.

The DuPage County Workforce Investment Board is responsible for coordination of workforce development activities in DuPage County. The Workforce Board is mandated to provide policy direction and oversight for employment and training programs funded by the U.S. Department of Labor.  You can access services by clicking on the above logo.
