Parent Education
- The mandated course is available via classroom or online delivery.

- Encourages parents to develop a way to relate to each other that keeps their children out of conflict
- Motivates parents to focus on the best interests of their children
- Emphasizes the need for parents to set aside personal differences in order to provide the healthiest environment possible for their children
- Focuses on developing a “business-like” relationship between parents

Online Co-Parenting Course (CPC) (For Divorcing Parents)
CPC Online Course
- CPC is an online course providing self-paced, self-directed learning. The course materials are equivalent to those covered in the CCC classroom seminar.
- A $50 course fee plus a $2 convenience fee is paid via credit card before access to the course is provided. After payment has been made, a login and password is provided.
- Technical Requirements for the Online Course:
- A valid Email address is required. If you do not have an email address, free email is available through yahoo.com or hotmail.com.
- A PC with Internet Access and Internet Explorer. The course works best on Internet Explorer 6. The course does not work on any browsers on a Mac computer.
- Java and Flash Player must be installed; both are available for free from www.java.com and www.adobe.com, respectively.
- Java applets must be enabled in the browser. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools...Internet Options...Security. Click on Custom Level. Find 'Scripting of Java applets' and ensure that it is Enabled.
- Popup blockers must be disabled. This includes those that are built into the browser, the Google search bar and the Yahoo bar. There may be other popup blockers than these listed, but these are the most common.
- Progress through the course is tracked for each user. If you choose not to complete the course in one sitting, the course progress resumes where left off when you log back in.
- Course completion is determined by getting a score of 80% or better on an online test upon completion of the course. Course materials can be reviewed again and the test may be re-taken until a passing grade is achieved.
- After completion of the course, you can print your certificate of completion for presentation to the court.
- You will have 30 days to complete the course. Your login to the online training system will remain active for 30 days after registration and payment are complete. Then, it will be deactivated.
Parents & Kids Program (PAK) (For Never Married Parents)
Held at the Family Center, 1525 N. Main Street, Wheaton
PAK Classroom Seminar
- Seminars are scheduled 2-3 times per month.
- Please contact the Family Center at 630-407-2450 or register online to schedule.
- Check in 15 minutes prior to seminar.
- No late arrivals allowed in the seminar.
- A $10 fee is expected at the time of the seminar (cash, check, or money order).
- Children are not permitted in the seminar.
