| IAPCC
The DuPage Inter-Agency Paratransit Coordinating Council was established in 1996 to help develop, implement, and provide guidance to a coordinated transportation system which:
- Strives to address the unmet travel needs among seniors and persons with disabilities residing in DuPage County and municipalities that are partially within DuPage County and their adjacent townships.
- Provides transportation for these persons to locations throughout DuPage County and surrounding areas as specified by participating sponsors.
- Is available for organizations within DuPage County wishing to purchase transportation services for other consumers.
The IAPCC is made up of the following committees:
- Advocacy
- Consumer Advisory
- Finance
- Operations
- Marketing
The Advocacy Committee will advocate on behalf of county-wide efforts to secure funds for transportation services, communicate between DuPage Mayors and Managers and IAPCC for joint goal-setting, and to develop joint public-private partnerships.
The Consumer Advisory Committee will serve as the liaison between the consumer and the DuPage Inter-Agency Paratransit Coordinating Council. The CAC will develop and review the standards of customer service for the coordinated system. The CAC will also do outreach to consumer groups, as well as oversee the client experience ensuring that there will be consumer input as well as open communications with various constituents.
Citizen members must reside in DuPage County or municipalities that are partially within DuPage County and take an active interest in improving mobility for seniors and persons with disabilities. There shall be at least two citizen members on the council. The maximum number of citizen members on the council shall equate to no more than 10% of the total organizational members. The term of each member is two years. Citizen members may serve multiple terms, but must submit an application at the end of each term.
The Finance Committee will oversee the development of the finance plan for the coordinated transportation system, financial commitments from sponsors, and dues for the council.
The Operations Committee will oversee the development of the coordinated transportation system and its management and operation plan.
The Marketing Committee will establish a marketing plan to inform potential users about the coordinated transportation system and inform potential sponsors and the general public about the system.
