GOLFERS HIT THE TEES FOR CONVALESCENT CENTER RESIDENTS

Fundraising event to provide quality of life programs for residents of the DuPage Convalescent Center

WHEATON – More than 100 business and community leaders will tee off on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in support of DuPage Convalescent Center residents at the 4^th Annual DPCC Foundation Golf Outing at Klein Creek Golf Club in Winfield.  Featuring a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start, a $10,000 Hole-In-One Contest, a variety of men’s and women’s contests and a buffet luncheon, this annual fundraising event provides funding for quality of life programs and services that help to enhance the lives of those who call the Convalescent Center “home”.

“The DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life of residents of the DuPage Convalescent Center,” said Maureen McHugh, President of the Foundation Board of Directors. “In light of the County’s current budgetary issues, the important work of the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation, and the success of its major fundraisers, is more important than ever.  The Foundation is proud to have the support of DuPage County Board Chairman Robert J. Schillerstrom, a long-time champion for our residents, serving as Honorary Chair of this important fundraising event.”

Openings for golfers are still available.  Fees are $150 per individual golfer and $600 per foursome.  Registration includes a round of golf with cart, breakfast and buffet lunch.  Not a golfer?  Sponsorship opportunities are available and raffle prize donations are currently being sought.  All proceeds from the event benefit residents of the DuPage Convalescent Center.
