Convalescent Center Holiday Bazaar 2007

“Preparing for the Holidays”

WHEATON, IL — In preparation for the upcoming Christmas season, the DuPage Convalescent Center is adding a Holiday Bazaar to it’s host of holiday festivities this year.

“We are always looking for creative ways to increase community involvement within our facility while providing an opportunity for our resident’s, staff, volunteers and family members to find Christmas gifts that you are unable to find in stores,” said Linda Gray, Convalescent Center Recreation Supervisor.

The Holiday Bazaar has something for everyone in terms of your Christmas shopping.  It includes a community craft fair, resident created crafts, book fair, bake sale and a Luminaria Sale.   The luminaries’ can be purchased in memory of or in honor of a loved one and will be placed near the Center’s gazebo area along County Farm Road on December 23rd to remain lit until after Christmas.

The Bazaar will be held on the first floor of the Convalescent Center at 400 North County Farm Road, on Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 from 10:00am and until 6pm.

All proceeds from the Bazaar go to support the Resident Recreation Fund.  This fund is used to provide programming and activities to enhance the care and quality of life for Center residents.

There are also many ways you can lend a hand.  We are currently looking for additional crafters and flea market vendors.   For additional information call Dolores Garlic at (630) 784-4249.  To become a volunteer or to donate bake sale items call our Volunteer Office at (630)784-4260.
