Friends of DuPage County Animal Care and Control will pay 50 percent of adoption fees for all cats during the month of June.

WHEATON  – Friends of DuPage County Animal Care and Control (DCACC) are celebrating “Adopt-a-cat-month” by paying 50 percent of the adoption fee for any cat adopted during the month of June.  All cats available at DCACC are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated.

“This is the time of year when DCACC is over-flowing with cats and kittens,” says Kerry Vinkler, Executive Director of DCACC.  “By adopting a feline friend, not only are you giving a shelter cat a second chance, but you will also have a lifelong companion who will bring you many years of love and devotion to your family.”

Vinkler also wants to remind residents that while it is kitten season, there are many personable and loving adult cats available for adoption that would make a great addition to any home.

Adoption hours at DCACC are Monday and Thursday between 12:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

DCACC is located at 120 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.  To view cats available for adoption, please visit www.dupageco.org/animalcontrol.  For additional information, and to learn about volunteer opportunities, please call 630/407-2800.
