Strategic Plan to Bring “Positive Changes” to County

As DuPage County continues to move forward with its strategic plan, DuPage County Board Member Debra Olson wants residents to know that their voice is being heard on the important issues facing the county both now, and in the near future.

Olson, Chairwoman of the County’s Strategic Planning Committees, is encouraged by the participation staff and elected officials have demonstrated in implementing the plan, which was made possible because of public participation.

“Without the public getting involved, we would not have this important blueprint from which to improve and enhance county programs and services,” said Olson (District 4).  “By working together, and with this plan as our guide, we can bring about positive changes in our county.”

DuPage County Recorder Fred Bucholz, one of three county-wide elected officials to serve on the Strategic Planning Committee, notes that the strategic plan shows how important it is for elected officials to engage the public.

“I am very excited to be a part of this process and to be engaged in these important discussions that will have a positive impact on our government and the services it provides in the future,” said Bucholz.  “I also commend Chairwoman Olson for her hard work and dedication to the residents of our great county.”
