District 5 Board Members Receive Committee Assignments

This Tuesday, the DuPage County Board approved the appointment of District 5 County Board member Jim Healy to chair the Legislative committee.  Newly elected County Board member from District 5, Tony Michelassi was also appointed Vice Chairman for the Development committee, and will also serve on the Finance and Intergovernmental committees. 

John Zediker, who was appointed to fill the District 5 seat vacated by State Rep. Michael Connelly, will sit on the Development, Health and Human Services, Economic Development and Judicial and Public Safety committees.

Healy, who will also serve as Vice Chairman for the Transportation and Public Works committees and as a member of the Finance and Judicial and Public Safety committees, will lead the Legislative committee in coordinating with county departments and state officials regarding the county’s legislative needs.  As a member of the Development committee, Michelassi will aid in regulating of DuPage County’s many zoning and construction responsibilities.
