District 1 Board Members to Chair Finance, Transportation Committees

This Tuesday, the DuPage County Board approved the appointment of District 1 County Board Members Don Puchalski and Paul Fichtner to Chair the Transportation and Finance committees, respectively. 

Newly elected County Board member Rita Gonzalez was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Public Transit committee, and will serve on the Development, Health and Human Services, Judicial and Public Safety, and Environmental committees as well.

Puchalski, who will also serve on the Judicial and Public Safety, Finance and Strategic Planning committees, will lead the Transportation committee in monitoring the development of county transportation infrastructure and public transit projects. 

As head of the Finance committee, Fichtner will aid in the regulation of DuPage County’s budgetary and economic planning responsibilities.  Fichtner has also been appointed to serve on the Technology, Economic Development, and Public Works committees.
