Reconstruction of the Thorndale Avenue Bridge over Salt Creek to Begin April 6

DU PAGE COUNTY ― The reconstruction of the Thorndale Avenue Bridge over Salt Creek is scheduled to begin the week of April 6, 2009.  The project will include complete bridge replacement as well as reconstruction of the pavement to a 5 lane cross section from 600’ west of the bridge to Mittel Blvd.   During each stage of construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.  The scheduled completion date for the project is October 28, 2009.  The contract cost is $3,117,938.95.  The general contractor is Albin Carlson & Company.
