AD HOC COMMITTEE WILL EXAMINE VETERANS' ISSUES

DU PAGE COUNTY -- DuPage County Board Chairman Bob Schillerstrom is announcing the creation of an Ad-Hoc Committee that will focus on improving the services delivered to veterans.

"We owe it to our veterans to ensure they are receiving the services they require," said Schillerstrom.

The goal of the committee will be to gather input from the DuPage Veterans Groups on how veterans' services are being delivered and how the county can improve these critical services.  The committee will also review the Veterans' Affairs Commission's IGA and program guidelines, as well as any county ordinances or state legislation, in order to make recommends any potential improvements. 

Serving on this Ad-Hoc Committee will be Members Dirk Enger (who will serve as Chairman), Kyle Gilgis and John Zediker.  The Committee will submit their findings to the Health and Human Services Committee by August 25, 2009.
