SCHILLERSTROM ENCOURAGES THOSE INTERESTED IN COUNTY BOARD VACANCY IN DISTRICT 3 TO SUBMIT LETTER OF INTENT

DU PAGE COUNTY -- DuPage County Board Chairman Robert J. Schillerstrom is encouraging individuals interested in the County Board vacancy in District 3 to submit a letter of intent and resume by Friday, August 28, 2009.

"In order to ensure the process for filling this vacancy is open to the public, and to give those that live in the district a chance to express their interest, I am encouraging interested candidates to contact my office," said Schillerstrom.  "Once I have received everyone's information I will review all the candidates thoroughly before making my selection."

Schillerstrom has 60 days to replace DuPage County Board Member Kyle Gilgis, who is retiring from the County Board effective August 31, 2009.      
 
Those interested in the vacancy should send their letter and resume to the DuPage County Board Chairman's Office, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, 60187.  Letters can also be dropped off at the Chairman's office, which is located on the third floor.
