FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COUNTY LAUNCHES ONLINE SURVEY DU PAGE COUNTY --DuPage County residents can now make their voice heard on what issues are most important to them and their families by taking a quick online survey that was launched by the DuPage County Board on Tuesday. The survey, which is located on the county's website, provides individuals the opportunity to rank what issues are most important to them, and what issues they believe the county should be making a top priority during the upcoming budget process. "This survey will be an invaluable asset as we move forward in crafting our Fiscal Year 2010 budget," said Bob Schillerstrom, Chairman of the County Board. Paul Fichtner, Chairman of the County Finance Committee, notes that hearing from residents on their top issues is a continuation of the county engaging the public in the budget process. "The work we do in crafting our budget has a direct impact on many of our residents and it's only fitting that they have a say in how their county operates," said Fichtner (District 1). Engaging the public more in the budget process was a key recommendation of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Government Transparency and Accessibility, which was lead by County Board Member Jeff Redick (District 2) this past March. "This survey is a great way for residents to make their voice heard and I would encourage everyone to take just a few minutes of their time to participate," said Redick. The survey can be access by visiting www.dupageco.org. Back to All Press Releases |
