Think about what the word "home" means to you...comfort, safety, support, and family.  Too many youths in our community, however, believe that a home like this is just a dream.

By getting involved, you can help make a positive difference in the life of a delinquent youth by giving perhaps the most important gift of all - a home.

The Department of Probation and Court Services is working to safely maintain delinquent youth in need of out-of-home care in our community by creating an innovative, intensive intervention of therapeutic foster care.  We are looking for foster families who will provide a home for a delinquent youth for six to nine months where there is:

• close supervision,
• fair and consistent limits,
• predictable consequences for rule breaking,
• supportive relationships with mentoring adults,
• and a reduction in exposure to delinquent peers.

In return, we will provide you with intensive training, daily support, 24 hour-a-day access to staff, and a financial stipend.  While in your care, the youth will receive all necessary services including intensive services from probation staff and a trained therapist.
