Public Defender Internships

Public Defender Internships The DuPage County Public Defender's Office operates a volunteer internship program which provides the opportunity for college and law school students to work in the office.

Law student interns may be assigned to a specific attorney or any one of the office divisions:

Felony
Misdemeanor
Juvenile
Investigations

Senior law students who qualify for a license under Supreme Court Rule 711 may try cases under the supervision of a licensed attorney.

All law student interns assist in:

Case Management
Client Relations
Courtroom Work
