Sheriff John E. Zaruba has long been committed to helping victims of domestic violence, assault, stalking, and other violent crimes. As a result of this commitment, the Office provides a variety of services to victims of violent crimes and encourages the use of the numerous local and national victim resources.

Safety-On-Call Program

Crime victims in immediate danger may be temporarily issued a cell phone programmed to instantly dial 911. Only persons living in unincorporated DuPage County whose cases are being handled by the Sheriff's Office are eligible.

CrimeLink

CrimeLink is a portable radio alert system that can be placed in the home of a stalking or domestic violence victim. When the victim presses a panic button the system transmits a pre-recorded message directly to police units in the field. Only persons living in unincorporated DuPage County whose cases are being handled by the Sheriff's Office are eligible.
