    DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin and Oak Brook Chief of Police James Kruger announced today that bond has been set for a Cicero man accused of supplying heroin to Zachary Giebel, 25, of Wisconsin, who died as a result of a heroin overdose.

  • Downers Grove Man Found Guilty of Murdering His Mother

    DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced today that a jury has found Michael Bassaly, 30 (d.o.b. 7/31/1986) formerly of Downers Grove, guilty of First Degree Murder in the shooting death of his mother Yvonne Zaky Bassaly, 61 (d.o.b. 10/26/1951) also of Downers Grove.

  • Appellate Court Affirms Conviction in 2012 Murder

    DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced today that the Second District Appellate Court of Illinois has affirmed the First Degree Murder conviction of Todd Mandoline, 31, (d.o.b. 2/28/1985) for starting a 2012 fire that claimed the life of his former girlfriend, Paula Morgan, 24, of Lombard.

  • Guilty Verdict For West Chicago Man Charged With Aggravated DUI in Deadly Crash

    DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced today that Omar Montoya Medina, 31 (d.o.b. 7/1/1985) of 144 E. Pomeroy Street, West Chicago, has been found guilty of causing a December, 2014 crash that claimed the life of Antonio Alvarez, 37.
