Berlin and Wheaton Chief of Police James Volpe announced today that Brian Thunderkick, 62 (d.o.b. 4/30/1955) of 2S644 Pierre Curie Lane, Warrenville, has been charged with one count of Reckless Homicide for allegedly causing a crash that killed twenty-three year-old Erika Villagomez.

  • Former Assisted Living Employee Sentenced to 12 Years for Stealing From Residents

    DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert B. Berlin announced today that Eugene Dorsey, 31 (d.o.b. 7/14/1986) of 4937 Grace Street, Chicago, has been sentenced to twelve years in  the Illinois Department of Corrections for stealing items from the homes of residents of an Elmhurst senior living facility where he was once employed.

Berlin announced today that Michael Bassaly, 30 (d.o.b. 7/31/1986) formerly of Downers Grove, has been sentenced to fifty-five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the 2013 shooting death of his mother Yvonne Zaky Bassaly, 61, also of Downers Grove.
