SCHUNING INDICTED ON FIRST DEGREE MURDER

Jesse Miser Charged With Pandering, Obstruction of Justice

WHEATON – DuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett today announced Gary Schuning 23, (d.o.b. 1/3/1983) of 316 S. Yale Street, Addison, has been indicted on eleven counts of First Degree Murder for the brutal slaying of his mother, Doris Pagliaro, 40 (d.o.b. 11/15/65) and another woman, Kristi Hoenig, 21 (d.o.b. 9/13/84) of Chicago.

On February 26, 2006 Addison police responded to a call of a disturbance at 316 S. Yale Street, Addison.   Upon their arrival at the residence, police discovered an injured Schuning and the murdered bodies of Doris Pagliaro and Kristi Hoenig.  Schuning was transported to an area hospital for treatment. 

After a thorough investigation conducted by the State’s Attorney’s Office, the Wheaton Police Department and the DuPage County Coroner’s Office, Schuning was charged with the murders of his mother and Kristi Hoenig. 

Schuning is scheduled for arraignment on April 3, 2006 in front of Judge Creswell.

In a related case, Jesse Miser, owner of Tripple E. Enterprises, the escort service for which Hoenig worked, was charged with one count of Pandering and two counts of Obstruction of Justice, all are Class 4 Felonies.  Miser is scheduled for arraignment on April 5, 2006 in front of Judge Creswell.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendants’ guilt.  The defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
