STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE TO HOST 3rd ANNUAL PUBLIC INFORMATION STATION

Representatives From Governmental and Social Service Agencies
That Serve the Needs of Crime Victims Will be Available

WHEATONDuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett announced today that his office will be participating in the 26th annual National Crime Victims’ Rights Week by hosting DuPage County’s third annual Public Information Station as well as celebrating the first anniversary of the Parents of Murdered Children DuPage Chapter (PMOC®).  National Crime Victims’ Rights Week runs through Saturday, April 29.

On Thursday, April 27, State’s Attorney Birkett is hosting the County’s third annual Public Information Station from 9 until 11 a .m. in multi-purpose rooms two and three of the DuPage County Courthouse, 505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.  Representatives and/or information from the following governmental and social service agencies that serve the needs of crime victims will also be present to provide informational materials and answer questions.

·        AAIM (Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists)

·        FSS (Family Shelter Service)

·        DWAR (DuPage Women Against Rape/YWCA)

·        MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)

·        Apna Ghar – domestic violence shelter for Asian women and children

·        DuPage CASA

·        POMC (Parents of Murdered Children)

·        COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors)

·        PRB (Prisoner Review Board)
