JESSE MISER PLEADS GUILTY TO PANDERING
Receives Four Years in the Illinois Department of Corrections
WHEATON - DuPage County State’s Attorney Joseph E. Birkett announced today that Jesse Miser, a Jamaican national whose real name is Gordon Trowers, 43, Chicago, has entered a plea of guilty to pandering in connection to an Addison double homicide that claimed the life of one of his former employees.
Miser appeared in Court this morning where Judge Kathryn Creswell sentenced him to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Miser was arrested on the Pandering charges on March 1, 2006 after he allegedly arranged for an employee of his to be dropped off in Addison by a fellow employee of Tripple E. Enterprises, a business which Miser owns and purports to be an escort service. Miser allegedly ran the business, which was merely a front for prostitution.
“I am very pleased with the sentence handed down by Judge Creswell this morning,” commented Birkett. “Jesse Miser allegedly used young women for his own financial gain. He allegedly employed them as prostitutes and, without any regard for their own safety, put them in harm’s way. Late last February however, one of Mr. Miser’s employees was murdered, allegedly by one of his clients. While we can’t bring back the young woman who lost her life working for Mr. Miser, we can possibly help others like her by putting Mr. Miser behind bars and out of business. Prostitution is an illegal and extremely dangerous profession and once Mr. Miser has served his sentence, we will ensure that he is deported so he will be unable to conduct this kind of business again.”
