Local Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children
to Host Special Memorial Meeting
WHEATON – The National Center of Victims of Crime, the U.S. Department of Justice and the DuPage County and beyond Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) would like to honor those lives taken violently through murder and reckless homicide.
The DuPage County and beyond Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children meets the second Thursday of every month at the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, Victim’s Waiting Room, 503 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Our organization offers support in a group atmosphere to help anyone, including family and friends, who have suffered the loss of a loved one through murder or reckless homicide.
On Monday, April 23, in recognition of National Crime Victims Week, the DuPage County PMOC will be hosting a special memorial meeting at the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. instead of the normally scheduled meeting. At this meeting we will dedicate a wall in memory of those lives taken violently from us. Please feel free to bring pictures, poetry or a memento of your loved one for the memorial wall. Any mementos will remain on the memorial wall in the Victim’s Waiting Room – copies only, please.
