States Attorney VICTIMS’ GARDEN TO HONOR MURDER VICTIMS WHEATON – To honor those who have been taken violently from us and in conjunction with the first National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims, DuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett announced today that the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Parents of Murdered Children DuPage County (and Beyond) Chapter (POMC), will be creating a Victim’s Garden located in the courtyard of the DuPage County Government Complex, 421 N. Time passes and headlines fade, but for the survivors every day is a struggle to put their lives back together. It is extremely important that we, as a nation, never forget these victims and their survivors. It is important that we remember their tragedy, honor their courage and do what we can to help them in rebuilding their lives. I am very pleased to announce the creation of our Victims’ Garden to honor both murder victims and their courageous survivors.” The POMC meets at the Construction of the garden, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to begin in the spring of 2008. ###
