ERIC HANSON FOUND ELIGIBLE FOR DEATH PENALTY

WHEATON - DuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett announced today that a jury has found Eric C. Hanson, 31 (d.o.b. 11/12/1976) formerly of Naperville, eligible for the death penalty in connection with the November, 2005 deaths of his father Terrance Hanson, Mother Mary Hanson, sister Kate Hanson Tsao and her husband Jimmy Tsao.

     At approximately 9 p.m. last night, a jury found Hanson guilty of four counts of First Degree Murder.   In addition to the First Degree Murder Charges, Hanson was found guilty of two counts of Armed Robbery, two counts of Aggravated Kidnapping and two counts of Identity Theft.

      The hearing on whether the death penalty is the appropriate punishment for these murders will begin tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. in front of Judge Anderson.
