Assistant State’s Attorneys, Investigators Honored by Addison Police and Fire Departments

WHEATON

–DuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett announced today that four members of his staff have been honored by the Addison Police-Fire Merit Review Board for their efforts in law enforcement at the Board’s 39^th Annual Fire and Police Appreciation Banquet held last Friday night at the Medinah Shrine Center in Addison. Honored at the ceremony were; Robert Holguin, Investigator at the DuPage County Children’s Center, Assistant State’s Attorney Steven Knight, Supervising Attorney for the Office’s Gang Unit, Assistant State’s Attorney Paul Marchese, Supervising Attorney for the Office’s Narcotics Unit and Rachel Rieger, also an Investigator from the Children’s Center.

Recipients of the award are nominated by the Addison Police and Fire Departments with the entire Merit Review Board making the final determination of award winners.

“I am extremely proud of each of these fine individuals on my team,” commented Birkett. It is because of their efforts that DuPage County is one of the safest places to live in the entire country. I would like to offer Robert Holguin, Steve Knight, Paul Marchese and Rachel Rieger my sincerest congratulations and thank you all for your dedication to our office and to the people of DuPage County.”

The Addison Police-Fire Merit Review Board is comprised of members of Addison organizations including the Knights of Columbus, the Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis, Rotary, and Medinah Shriners.
