WHEATON MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ABUSE

WHEATON - DuPage County State’s Attorney Joseph E. Birkett announced today that Joshua White, 20, (d.o.b. 11/29/1988) of Wheaton, has been charged with one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. 

It is alleged that on Thursday, March 26 at approximately 9 a.m., White encountered a young girl in a Wheaton park while out jogging.  It is further alleged that after sexually abusing the girl, White fled the scene.  An investigation by the Wheaton Police Department led to White who was taken into custody a short time later.

Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt.  A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
