Payments can be mailed to our Payment Processing Center through October 9, 2009 at DuPage County Collector, Bill Payment Center, P. O. Box 4203, Carol Stream, IL 60197-4203.  After October 9, 2009 payments and correspondence should be mailed to DuPage County Collector, P.O.Box 787, Wheaton, IL 60187-0787. 

First installment payments should include the number one installment payment coupon (from the top portion of the bill) and your check in the full amount of the installment. The check should be made payable to the DU PAGE COUNTY COLLECTOR. To avoid any late penalty, the payment must be made on or before June 1, 2009. (A United States Postal Service postmark is accepted as date of payment for the calculation of late penalty.)

Second installment payments should include the number two installment payment coupon (located directly under the number one installment payment coupon) and your check in the full amount of the installment. The check should be made payable to the  DU PAGE COUNTY COLLECTOR. To avoid any late penalty, the payment must be made on or before September 1, 2009. (A United States Postal Service postmark is accepted as date of payment for the calculation of late penalty.)

Always write your parcel number on your check and use the correct payment coupon(s).

Duplicate tax bills are available to the property owner at no charge.

PENALTY for late payment is added at the rate of 1.5% of the installment amount per month.

COST: An additional $10.00 charge will be collected beginning November 1, 2009, on each unpaid bill to cover delinquent tax publication and certified mailing expenses.

To avoid your name and parcel being listed in the delinquent tax publication, the total amount of 2008 taxes must be received in our office by October 20, 2009.

Payment of the 2008 real estate tax bill after October 31, 2009, must be made by cashier’s check, cash or money order.

The annual real estate tax sale will begin on Monday, November 23, 2009.

TO AVOID TAX SALE, PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY 4:30 P.M. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2009.
