Location: Foster Home
Introducing Mia! This sweet, senior lady was surrendered to the shelter when her owner could no longer afford to care for her. When Mia first came into the shelter she was suffering from severe glaucoma which was causing extreme pressure and pain in her eyes. To treat the glaucoma Mia was sent to a specialist and underwent surgery to remove her eyes. Now Mia is pain free and ready to find a home to call her own! While Mia waits for her people she is staying with a living with a loving foster family that gave the shelter some very important Mia info to share with adopters! Mia is crate trained and in fact likes to hang out in her crate when she needs a nap. Being a senior small dog Mia isn't always able to hold it but does not have accidents if she is kept on a regular potty schedule and she is happy to use potty pads if they are provided. Mia is currently living with both children and another dog and does fine with both as long as they give her a heads up they are coming before they touch her. Mia's ideal family would have lots of time to spend with her and would be able to keep her company most of the day! Think that family might be yours? Call the shelter today and make an appointment to meet Mia! Thanks to the DuPage Animal Friends Mia can be adopted for just $50 with a $15 microchip registration fee!
