44th Annual Fall Festival Benefits DuPage Convalescent Center Residents
Fall into a scarecrow patch of family-friendly fun at the DuPage Convalescent Center’s 44th Annual Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 17. This fun-filled day of activities is hosted by the DuPage Convalescent Center and the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation. Festival-goers will help celebrate DuPage Convalescent Center’s 123 years of service to DuPage County.
The festivities will include something for everyone--a resident craft sale, bake sale, spectacular raffle and silent auction, kid’s games, book fair, craft and flea market vendors, scarecrow patch, car show, a huge garage sale, mum sale, and food and entertainment. In addition, new for 2011, a petting zoo with 35 farm animals sponsored by Salerno’s Rosedale and Galewood Chapels and free train rides with “Little Obie” courtesy of Illinois Central Railroad Company.
Other major sponsors of this event include Stratford Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, and Suburban Bank and Trust. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available for as low as $250.
Admission to the Fall Festival and parking are free. Donations are very gratefully accepted.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation and Resident Recreation Fund, which provides quality of life programs and services to Center residents. The Center is a 360 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located at 400 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton, Illinois. Activities will be held on the West Campus Grounds of the County Complex.
