DuPage County Stormwater Management Hosting Program Assessment Public Information Meeting

DuPage County Stormwater Management will hold a public information meeting regarding the department’s draft program assessment on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at the County's JTK Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton.

“Over the past few months, the County has been working closely with local communities to determine what is working, what is not and what additional services are needed of a regional stormwater management program,” said DuPage County Stormwater Management Committee Chairman Jim Zay.

DuPage County enlisted the support of municipalities, the Forest Preserve District, park districts and other stakeholders to review its regional stormwater management program and accompanying services. The resulting program assessment evaluates the current level of service the County is providing, while considering where the program should be to be most effective and helpful.

During the public meeting, constituents will have the opportunity to learn more about the proposed services within the draft program assessment. In addition, they may provide feedback on the assessment, as well as input on what services a regional stormwater management program should provide.

"It’s important that residents and business owners contribute to this assessment process,” added Chairman Zay. “In order to adequately address existing needs and plan for future resilience, we need input on an individual, local level.”

The draft program assessment is currently open for public comment through Friday, December 19. To view the draft program assessment and submit comments electronically, visit /swm/programassessment
