DuPage Joins Chicago Wolves for Job Fair
Job seekers are encouraged to attend an employment fair hosted by the DuPage County Workforce Development Division, the Chicago Wolves hockey team and four other host organizations. The fair is free of charge and will feature employers from DuPage, Lake and Cook counties.
Attendees can participate in workshops and learn about conducting effective job searches, resume writing and sharpening interview skills. The workshops will be provided by the workNet DuPage Career Center, as well as the workNet Center in Arlington Heights and the Job Center of Lake County. For more information on the workshops and the participating employers, visit www.worknetdupage.org.
“This is a wonderful ‘one-stop-shopping’ opportunity for anyone looking for a new job. Employers from all over our region will be under one roof, available to accept applications, answer questions and provide information about their companies to potential employees. ” said DuPage County Board Member Tonia Khouri, chair of the board’s Economic Development Committee.
The fair takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Mannheim Road in Rosemont. Following the job fair, the Chicago Wolves will play the Milwaukee Admirals at the Arena at 7 p.m. Job fair participants may purchase a ticket to the hockey game at a discount.
