DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation Hosts Benefit Concert at Cantigny Park Aug. 6

The DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation is pleased to present the 2nd Annual Benefit Concert in the Park. This event will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, featuring local R&B band "August."  The community is invited to attend and support this event.

"This is a great way to network, reconnect or make new friends and clients all while helping the residents of the DuPage Convalescent Center," said Ray Valadez, president of the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation.

Proceeds from the concert will go toward the Foundation's goal to raise money for quality of life programs and services for more than 300 residents of the DuPage Convalescent Center.

"The Convalescent Center provides a safe, secure home for residents who need medical care. As funding streams become tighter, I believe it's vitally important that we step up and show residents, staff and volunteers that we value them and the work they do," said Bob Larsen, Chairman of the DuPage County Board's Health and Human Services Committee.

Concert sponsors include Comcast and 95.9 the River.  Gates open at 6 p.m. with a special appearance by 95.9 the River that includes music, games and prizes.

The concert will be held at Cantigny Park, which is located at 151 S. Winfield Road in Wheaton at the corners of Roosevelt and Winfield Roads. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at www.dpccfoundation.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate the day of the event for $15. Sponsorships are also still available and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
