DuPage County Hosting Public Information Meeting on Updates to Winfield Creek Watershed Plan

DuPage County Stormwater Management will hold a public information meeting regarding the draft Phase 1 Addendum to the Winfield Creek Watershed Plan on Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winfield Village Hall (27W465 Jewell Road, Winfield 60190).

The draft Phase 1 Addendum is an update to the 1994 Winfield Creek Watershed Plan that identifies flood control improvements within the Village of Winfield following severe flooding in 2008, 2010 and 2013. The second and third phases will evaluate water quality projects throughout the watershed and flood control projects throughout the remainder of the watershed, which also encompasses portions of the City of Wheaton and the villages of Carol Stream, Glendale Heights and Glen Ellyn.

During the public meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the recommended alternatives, or projects, identified in the draft Phase 1 Addendum, as well as have the chance to comment on them.

The draft Phase 1 Addendum is currently open for public comment through Thursday, December 3, 2015. To view the draft document and submit comments electronically, visit /EDP/Stormwater_Management/51103/.

Paper copies are also available by request. Please email stormwatermgmt@dupageco.org or call 630-407-6719 to request one.
