DuPage County to Host Human Services Grants Informational Meetings in March

DuPage County will host two informational meetings in March for local nonprofit organizations interested in applying for a grant through the County’s Human Services Grant Fund (HSGF).

The meetings will be held at noon on March 11 and 10 a.m. March 12 in Room 3-500B of the DuPage County JTK Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. Organizations must send a representative to one of the two mandatory meetings in order to apply for the grant.

DuPage created the Human Services Grant Fund to assist organizations that serve County residents in need. This year, the fund will distribute $1,000,000 to eligible grant recipients.

The grants are available to organizations that help families achieve independence, ensure the protection of children and other vulnerable residents and maximize prevention opportunities to strengthen families’ well-being and stability. The average grant award in 2019 was $15,000, with a minimum award of $3,157 and a maximum award of $56,000.

The Human Services Grant Fund features a web-based application program. For access to the portal, attendance at one of the mandatory meetings is required.

Information regarding eligibility guidelines and selection criteria will be presented at the meeting. For more information, please email or call (630) 407-6600.
