CMAP is the official regional planning organization for the northeastern Illinois counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will.  CMAP developed and now guides the implementation of “Go to 2040,” metropolitan Chicago’s first comprehensive regional plan in more than 100 years.

Appointed By

The (1) DuPage County member is appointed cooperatively by the mayors of DuPage County and the Chairman of the County Board.


Board members receive no compensation, but are reimbursed for expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.


Applicant must be a resident of DuPage County.


CMAP is governed by a board consisting of (15) voting members and non-voting members.  All members are appointed pursuant to the Regional Planning Act (70 ILCS 1707/), including one member who represents DuPage County.
