Meyers Road Drainage Improvements

Short Description of Work

This project will improve the stormwater drainage system of Meyers Road at 18th Street and to the north.  At the southeast corner of 18th Street, an existing 18 inch diameter pipe will be replaced with a 24 inch diameter pipe.  Along the west side of Meyers Road north of 18th Street, ditches will be created or improved, and some drainage structures will be updated to prevent backflow.  A retaining wall and sidewalk will need to be moved in order to accommodate this work.

Traffic Control

The work will be completed with daily lane closures.

Contract Cost

$139,288.85

Completion Date

To be determined.

Construction Status

Work started on October 3, 2018.
The 24" storm sewer has been installed to replace the existing 18" storm sewer.
Some of the drainage work along the west side of Meyers Road has been completed.
The work was on hold from November 2018 until June 2019 while the plans were being modified.
The redesigned retaining wall has been completed.
Completion of the concrete driveways and sidewalks are dependent on weather, but expected to be completed in November 2019.
