Short Description of Work

The existing traffic signal at the intersection of 75th Street and Clarendon Hills Road will be replaced.  The new traffic signal will be similar to the existing signal, but without posts mounted in the median.  A temporary traffic signal will be in operation while the existing signal is removed and the new signal is installed.  There will also be work at the 75th Street / Plainfield Road intersection in order to install equipment to wirelessly interconnect the two locations. 

 

Traffic Control

The work will be completed using daily lane closures, as needed.

Contract Cost

$392,448.58

Completion Date

55 Working Days are allowed per the contract.

Construction Status

Work has not yet started.
While some preliminary locating of utilities may be performed, traffic signal work is not expected to start for several months due to delays in delivery of mast arms from the manufacturer.
