Green Initiatives - Recycling & GREEN Events and Calendar

The information below on recycling & green events is provided as a service to the residents of DuPage County. Inclusion is not intended as an endorsement of any of company or event, nor has the County purposely excluded any additional events. The events listed below are open to the public(unless otherwise indicated). No hazardous waste, fluorescent bulbs, paint, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, or air conditioners will be accepted at any events.

April Events

April 7, 2018 - City of Wheaton Paper Shredding - 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.; Commuter Parking Lot 9, located at the Liberty Dr. and Carlton Ave. 

April 17, 2018 - 12th Annual Sustainable Design Challenge for Local High Schools DuPage County Administration Building - 421 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton.  All projects will be on display to the public from 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

April 21, 2018 - Glen Ellyn Recycling Extravaganza - 9:00 - 1:00 p.m.; Duane/ Lorrain Parking Lot, just west of the Glen Ellyn Public

April 21, 2018 - Glendale Heights Recycling Extravaganza - 9:00 - 12:00 p.m.; 240 Civic Center Plaza, Glendale Heights

April 21, 2018 - Naperville Park District Shred Event - 8:00 - 12:00 p.m.; 20 Fort Hill Drive, Naperville

April 21, 2018 - Bensenville Park District Electronics Recycling Event - 9 a.m. - 12 Noon; Bensenville Water Park Parking Lot; 1100 W. Wood St.

April 28, 2018 - Elmhurst Recycling Extravaganza - 9:00 - 12:00 p.m.; Alexander Parking Lot, 190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst

May Events

May 5, 2018 - Itasca Green Day - 8:00 - 12:00 p.m.; Metra Train Parking Lot on Irving Park Road

May 12, 2018 - Woodridge Rotary Recycling Extravaganza - 8:00 - 12:00 p.m.; Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park, 8301 Janes Ave, Woodridge

May 12, 2018 - Addison Park District Recycling Extravaganza - 9:00 - 12:00 p.m.; 120 E. Oak St., Addison
