Voter Verification Postcards

Recently every active registered voter in DuPage County was mailed a voter verification postcard through the U.S. Postal Service. The postcard serves two purposes: to determine the accuracy of voters’ addresses and to notify voters of possible polling place changes. Updating our voter registration database is necessary, and mandated by the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and the Illinois Election Code.

If you are a voter still residing at the address on the postcard, please check the back for your polling place. You are not required to present this card to vote, however, please keep it for future reference. If you or someone else in your household no longer resides at the address on the postcard, please fill out the back and follow the instructions for returning it to our office. Undeliverable postcards are also returned to our office and alert us that a voter may have moved; a second postcard will be sent to these voters at a future date.

Thank you for your assistance in keeping our voter registration database current.
